The UK Government-backed London Office for Rapid Cybersecurity Advancement selected Argentine-based VU™ Security as a member of the 2020 cohort, due to its innovative solutions to address the challenges generated by a hyperconnected society.
London, United Kingdom. VU™ Security announced today it is one of the 17 scaleups selected by the London Office for Rapid Cybersecurity Advancement (LORCA) to join its fifth cohort of cyber-innovators. Its participation is the most recent step of its expansion plans across Europe, after opening offices in London and taking part in the internationalization program “Acelerar España” in Madrid, Spain.
As one of the 17 early-stage companies selected this year, VU™ will receive support to take its business to the next level. The one-year program is designed to help companies grow, secure investment, access new markets and participate in overseas trade missions, with the ultimate aim of growing the British cybersecurity company.
VU™ is a cybersecurity company focused on fraud prevention and identity protection founded in Argentina more than a decade ago that offers innovative solutions that enable a connected society, including supply chain security, digital identity, secure and private data sharing and the digital risk associated with an increasingly connected world, all with an eye on some of the new challenges thrown up by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We’re delighted to be welcoming VU™ Security to our fifth accelerator programme and look forward to supporting the team with their growth journey and international expansion plans. Protecting people’s digital identities is becoming an increasingly pertinent challenge, and VU™ Security has a very exciting approach with a fantastically clear aim of improving the lives of digital citizens,” said Saj Huq, Director, LORCA. “For the UK’s cyber ecosystem to continue growing, fostering international links with overseas hubs and innovators like VU™ Security will be crucial. LORCA aims to act as not just a launchpad for UK firms into international markets but as a landing pad for the very best cyber companies. VU™ Security’s investment in expanding in the UK, starting with London, is testament to the international standing the UK has earned in cyber.”
“We are honoured of taking part in LORCA, as a company born with the mission of improving the quality of citizens’ lives around the world,” says Sebastián Stranieri, CEO, VU™ Security. “We are sure this opportunity will help us go further on our purpose through cybersecurity and constant innovation.”
The 17 companies will receive technical and commercial support from Deloitte, and engineering and testing support from the Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT) at Queen’s University Belfast. They will also receive industry support from LORCA’s corporate partners, which include Lloyds Banking Group, Dell Technologies and Kudelski Security, as well as access to a series of events, forums and introductions.
